INDIE SUPPLEMENT OF THE YEAR, 2011

This Sub-Award honors the best supplement for an existing Independent RPG. It is judged on the same standards as the Indie Game of the Year, but applies to game supplements rather than games themselves. This can include additional rules, setting information, or anything that enhances an existing game. The supplement may be for purchase or free.

THE Indie Supplement of the Year FOR 2011 IS...

Fiasco Companion by Jason Morningstar and Steve Segedy / with 57 points

I fell in love with Fiasco via Wheaton's videoblog @ geek and sundry. Pleased to see the gme is being supported by quality works.

A gentler, more rounded Fiasco experience is packed into the Fiasco Companion, along with a host of useful soft rules and generous advice about playing the game.

A great addition to a breakout game.

Fuck Morningstar for his brilliance.

THE RUNNERS UP:

Masks: 1,000 Memorable NPCs for Any Roleplaying Game by John Arcadian, Patrick Benson, Walt Ciechanowski, Don Mappin, Scott Martin, Matthew Neagley, Martin Ralya, Kurt "Telas" Schneider, Troy Taylor, Phil Vecchione / with 36 points

What a great idea!

Unlike most supplements, I actually use this.

Plugs the most common gap in GM repertoires.

Old Gods: A Mortal Coil Supplement by Brennan Taylor / with 24 points

bout time someone did a take on Gaiman's American Gods novel. Kudos

A really solid framework for playing Mortal Coil, and very useful as a template for making your own campaign frames.

Gnome Stew, the Game Mastering Blog by John Arcadian, Patrick Benson, Walt Ciechanowski, Don Mappin, Scott Martin, Matthew Neagley, Martin Ralya, Kurt "Telas" Schneider, Troy Taylor, Phil Vecchione / with 15 points

This also looks incredibly useful.

Sexcraft: A Little Game with a Lot of Sex by John Wick / with 12 points

Wick delivers!

DEAD G-Core by Jay Libby / with 12 points

Can we say Marvel Zombies?

Because everyone loves zombies!

Jaws of the Barracado: A Bulldogs! Supplement by Brennan Taylor / with 11 points

A fun, free scenario for FATE's best SF game, Bulldogs.

The Secret of the Dead Man's Satchel by Daniel Robichaud / with 6 points
